Re: Vertex K8400 extruder feed

Hi, I set extruder steps/mm to 148.7 (in firmware). There is some posts on the velleman's forum about this correction. You can change it too in the settings of your printer (menu Settings/Motion/Esteps/mm). Don't forget to save your settings in memory (Menu Settings/Store Memory) In S3D I set 0.95 a...

Re: Share setting between computers?

You can export any of your existing profiles and reimport them later This in not user friendly. If users of my softwares are forced to manually export/import configuration or other, my boss gets angry. 1) I select the profile to export 2) Filename is empty. Need to retype it... Booooring... However...

Re: Share setting between computers?

I thought the profiles were stored in the cloud somehow... it was part of the value in having an online account. I've never checked, my workflow for the profiles is to store a version of my final profile to dropbox and re-import when necessary. Under Windows, Profiles are stored in de registry... N...

Re: Simplify "portable"

<snip> Allow users to upload/sync local profiles on a button press to server and download/sync them from server as well on a button press. That would be a useful feature. Good idea. And for the one who don't have internet access on their work/print station (there are a few on this forum), why not a...

Re: Simplify "portable"

That's a surprising answer. Is there not a central location in which a user's settings are stored? Syncing these settings would be invaluable to me as well. I agree. Profiles must be "licence centric", not installation centric. Under Windows, 3.0 stores profiles in registry as XML file. Not sure it...

Re: Where is it ?

... snip ... Not saying S3d is perfect, it's UI is a bit hard to use (ask me for some examples :) ). But it has a very good ability to slice stuff in a clean, intelligent and repeatable way with no bizarre artifacts or hundreds of unnecessary moves, perimeter crossings and gap fills. The great near...

Re: Where is it ?

That's not a bug. If the feature is smaller than the nozzle's extrusion width, than the printer won't print it. You're right, it is not a bug, it's just a less performant slicer than Cura.
