Re: Double print quality with very little additional print time

Yes, this is already possible in the current version of Simplify3D. Set the primary layer height to the fine value that you want to use for the perimeters (for example, 0.1mm). Then go to the Infill tab and change the setting to "Combine infill every 2 layers". That means the infill will only print ...

Re: When is simplify3D 64 bit on macOS?

Hi Ron, Simplify3D is actually already a full 64-bit application. The reason you are seeing that warning is that we use a 32-bit installer which allows us to provide compatibility for older systems. You shouldn't see the warning again when using the software, it only shows when you run the installer...

As promised, we wanted to post a quick update to let everyone know how things are coming with the next software release. Our team is hard at work finishing Version 4.1, and we hope to have it completed within the next month. This release has taken longer than normal due to the major foundational cha...

Re: >4.0.0 ETA?

4.0.1 was already released a few months ago, so if you are still using 4.0.0 you can login to your account on the Simplify3D website to download that new update.

For our upcoming 4.1 release, you can of course refer to the answer dkightley mentioned above, which was posted just a few days ago.

Re: Is Simplify3D still alive? (It's been almost a year since an update)

Just to add a bit more info, we are all very busy right now working on our upcoming 4.1 release. I believe 4.0.1 was released less than 6 months ago, and we're anxious to get the next big release completed so that we can roll that out as well. We appreciate your patience while we work on completing ...

Re: v4 hangs when slicing a model

This issue has now been fixed in Version 4.0.1. All of the factory files provided in this thread now slice correctly in this version, so you should not have any more issues with the processing taking longer than intended in the "calculating infill" stages. You can download the latest version by logg...

This issue has now been fixed with Version 4.0.1. The factory file that was provided now slices correctly in this version with the correct prime pillar sequence for the multi-color layers.
