I think the problem is that you need the printer to pause at each point so that you can actually level the bed. That may be difficult if you're running from the SD card. Personally, I just put a gcode file on the SD card that prints a big thin object that moves around the edges of the bed. That way,...

The M240 command looks like it might control acceleration stuff, but it's hard to be certain. May need to experiment.

The lower temperature will definitely help prevent oozing, which may have been why you were seeing the holes in the print. If it oozes too much while moving, then there will be a void when it actually starts again. Although you could increase the "extra restart distance" setting if you nee...

if the extruder gets too hot and the plastic sits in there for too long, it can actually get "burnt" and harden which can easily cause clogs. but you usually have to be at least 20-30 degrees too hot for that to happen

It's hard to solve this completely for ABS prints unless you have some kind of heated enclosure which stays at the same temperature the whole time
