Re: New simplify3d user questions

Sounds like you just need to adjust the fisrt layer position, try changing the z-axis offset, they talk about it more here

Re: Tip of the Day 30 - Using 3DTouch, CubeX,CubePro and Rap

Soo happy to finally have native BFB support in version 3.1 :D :D :D That's going to make things much easier for printing on my cubepro and hopefully I can finally get rid of the original software which never worked well to begin with. I'm planning to test some of the new BFB still later today and I...

More Info About New Version 3.1.0 Update!

I own 2 of the new printers that are now supported with version 3.1 and I'm soo glad I can finally use my favorite software with them :D I also had at least one bug and another feature request that both got put into this release so also very happy for th...

Re: This machine does not support binary .x3g files.

RepG and Repetier both do NOT work for me on either of windows 10 computers. They both have the same random disconnect problems. I reverted one of those computers back to Windows 8 again and all was fine again. Makes sense though, because all the topics on microsoft's site about this bug talk a bad ...

Re: turn off infill

anytime the preview doesn't look like what you expect (i.e. filling in areas that are supposed to be holes) it is almost 99% of the time due to a bad mesh. unfortunately many programs out there create horrible STL files with many errors.

Re: turn off infill

the model has a bunch of non-manifold errors in it. if you go to repair -> identify non-manifold, the software will show the warning about the bad mesh.

so you will need to repair the STL file first, try something like netfabb or https://modelrepair.azurewebsites.net/

Re: Jog mode directions wrong on left extruder

its a long-standing firmware bug, been around for over a year so I wouldn't hold out hope that it will be fixed anytime soon

you could try submitting a bug report to sailfish firmware repo with the binary command and the unintended behavior

Re: Problems printing very thin-walled objects

It's because the software can't print walls that are thinner than the extrusion width that you specify. An easy fix for this part would be to go to the Advanced tab and enable the option called "merge all outlines into a single solid model". This will make your thin walled part completely solid inst...

Re: Share setting between computers?

Not that I know of. If you need to share a specific profile, you have to export it from one computer and import into the other.

There's already several feature requests on this subject though, so I'm sure the S3D guys are aware of it
