Random pauses while printing

I have noticed that almost every print I have done since installing S3D-v4 that the print will randomly pause for 1-3 seconds then continue on. It usually will only do this once but I have seen it happen twice on one print job. The weird thing is, reprinting the same model without adjusting any sett...

Re: Coasting problem or ??

I am using 4.00mm retraction distance, 0.1mm Vertical Lift, 44.0mm/s retraction speed, and a wipe of 3mm. I have also told S3D my .4mm nozzle is .34 and that helped a lot. Extrusion multiplier is set to 0.97 From there you need to get your filament diameter as close as possible and temps and cooling...

Error parsing model

I have now experienced this 3 times with different models. If the slicer throws an parsing error then the previous model I had in the queue pops into the 3D view window but there is no model listed in the Models section of the screen to be able to remove it and from there the only way to get rid of ...

Re: Coasting problem or ??

I was getting the exact same issue until I turned off coasting completely and upped my retraction distance to compensate. Without coasting on my corners and start points are normal.

Re: Profiles are disappearing, how about you?

I have a similar issue, every time I start S3D, the FFF process is completely gone. If I click ADD to add a new process, it usually adds the process with the same settings as I was previously using but not always. This is another example how tight security prevents the registry from being properly u...

Build Statistics

It would be nice to have the "Build Time:" be changed to "Build ETA:" and add the "Actual Build Time:" below once the print has completed. With the current method of calculating the build time being so far out, this would allow a accurate build time result on every build. This is especially benefici...

Re: Firmware Export not working as expected

Well it did it again.... bed temp defaulted back to 60 degrees for PLA. I have tracked down the problem to be the storage of settings in the registry. I use tight security on my pc as I do a lot of remote maintenance on client servers and do not wish to give them malware or for them to propagate mal...

Re: FFF file location?

I agree with changing the storage from registry to file. I have been having tons of issues and it all points back to not being able to store settings correctly in the registry due to security settings. I use HIPS to prevent malware intrusions and this is preventing proper storage into the registry f...

Re: Firmware Export not working as expected

Well it sounds like you have several things going on found it reverted the layer height back to the default of .15mm all on it's own Are you sure you actually updated the profile after you made your previous change? You have to click "Update Profile" if you want to permanently save a change to the ...

Firmware Export not working as expected

I was having strange issues with S3D where it was randomly applying previous settings, for example, I had cooling fans set to 0 for first layer and 70 for 2nd layer but it applied a previous setting of 30 for the second layer. Going back to check settings and they had the 70% for the second layer as...
