Re: Offsets & Print Preview

I don't get this. You have intentionally added a global G-code offset, and when S3D correctly applies this offset and shows it to you in the preview, you complain that it offsets the part? When you choose "Center and arrange", S3D will geometrically center (and arrange) your parts on the bed, ignori...

Re: Offsets & Print Preview

You have a global G-code offset of 36 mm in the Y-axis, why is that? That's what (correctly) offsets the part in the preview, the odd thing is that this is not actually how it prints.

Re: S3D Development Update - Aug 2018

General demeanor? That's too strong in my opinion. Thing is that people are frustrated by the lack of information from the developers of a product they use and love, but where said product is in need of improvements. Seeing that the update rate is very low, the suspense buildup is very strong when w...

Coooling settings for multiple processes not stored in factory file

When I use the variable settings wizard to split a process into multiple, I usually want the object cooling fan to turn on during the first process (layer 2, for the most part), and for the next processes I really don't want anything to happen with the fan. Problem is that since the new processes ar...

Re: Recess in model affects infill - bug?

Doh! It also counts bottom layers from the lowermost layer in the recesses, of course... Good thing I added the question mark in the subject then, because I clearly managed to confuse myself here. In this case the end result would be fine anyways, but to start a uniform infill after the first solid ...

[SOLVED]Recess in model affects infill - bug?

This one is maybe not a biggie, but it annoys me, so I'm posting to report it, or have an explanation why S3D behaves like this. Look at this image: s3d_bug.jpg This is just a test model of a cylindrical shape which has some very shallow (0.6 mm tall) cutouts in it (towards the printbed in this case...

Re: S3D Development Update - Aug 2018

Do you have a list of what new printer profiles will be getting added to the software? Unless I'm mistaken, printer profiles are added continuously, not just with software updates. When you launch the configuration assistant in Simplify3D, it goes online to download the current list of printer prof...

Re: S3D Development Update - Aug 2018

It's been a few weeks since this update post, and we're now in September. The S3D team went pretty silent efter the initial post, so it would be nice to get some more info on progress, don't just leave us hanging please.

Re: S3D Development Update - Aug 2018

Everyone is working hard to finish the last few remaining items for the release, and again, we are planning to have everything completed within the next month. Could you please clarify what is meant by "next month"? Does it mean a month from day of posting, within the current month (August), or by ...

Re: Where is version 4.1?

To be honest $150 is 2-3 tanks of gas worth of money.. or one trip to the grocery store.. A single cpu license for an oracle db a $55,000 to put things in perspective.. Updates would be nice, current documentations would be nice.. but at $150 a pop, I can see where that would not happen as fast as ...
