Printing Speed Options

Dear Simplify Team, I really love the GUI, workflow and slicing speed of S3D ! But unfortunately I have to say, that I'm dissapointed about the new 3.1 Update. I BEG YOU : Refine the printing speed options ! Instead of a percentage from default printing speed, please make seperate speed values (mm/s...

Re: variable retraction

I don't think about time saving...
I think about better print quality.

Re: Native Arc and/or segment resolution choice

If the slicer do a best fit with arcs for segmented curves, you don't have a 100% control over the output. Unforunately, there are three bottlenecks. First, the G-Code interpreter and second the interpolation time/algorithm. Third bottleneck is the output step frequence/resolution. Sure, if you have...

Re: Native Arc and/or segment resolution choice

Hi, unfortunately with .stl files, it makes no sense to use arcs. :( In the past, I did some experiments to force a "high segment resolution" output with CURA, Slic3r, Skeinforge and S3D, slicing a high resolution 50mm diameter cylinder. Skeinforge: max. 80 segments Slic3r: max. 128 segments S3D: ma...

Re: Can See Model Detail in Print

Hi,

I don't know exactly what you mean...
Use a rectilinear Infill if you want a flat surface.

Re: 1st Layer

Ok.

I made some tests.
Definitely a bug.

But a brim only occures at the first one or two layers.
Should be no problem with a seperate process.

The skirt function is a bigger bug, because the massiv jerks caused by poor path generation.

OK.

I never needed Skirt or Brim.
I will make some tests...

Re: 1st Layer

Why not using a seperate Process for the first Layer(s) with a higher extrusion multiplier ?
