Re: Best Glue for PETG & PLA

True, but I think to use it as a part-to-bed bonding agent they must add some other ingredients which could possibly be as simple as adding a little plastic of the same type to be printed into the dichloromethane (paint stripper) and maybe some enhancements to make it unique or give it mystique.. On...

Re: Variable acceleration and Jerk

How does Simplify3D estimate print time without knowing the jerk and acceleration of the printers for which it is generating gcode? I notice S3D's print times are off significantly from the estimates sometimes. Is not knowing the jerk and acceleration the reason for this? Also, please allow jerk and...

Re: Where's the Small Perimeter Settings?

I agree small perimeters would be a nice setting. I wonder if issues like this could be mitigated to some extent by controlling the acceleration and jerk for the different print feature types? rrdavis gave some awesome code here regarding acceleration that shows this: https://forum.simplify3d.com/vi...

Re: Best Glue for PETG & PLA

I've had good success with Loctite 401 for bonding PLA. Still it looks like there is a new adhesive that might take the cake for bonding PLA called 3DGloop. Here it is tested against cyanoacrylate and epoxy and the 3DGloop won handily. In fact the PLA failed before the adhesive failed: https://youtu...

Re: Locked Prime Line (Or Any Object) Location

It can be in the Start Code; however I imported mine as an object and I also have prime pillars that I want to stay in a fixed location when I import objects and Center them. A very fast prime pillar for changing colors, followed by a slow prime pillar to eliminate pressure. I'm not sure Coast At En...

Locked Prime Line (Or Any Object) Location

Please give the option to lock the location of an imported object even if Center and Arrange is clicked. I would like to have a factory file saved with a prime line in a certain location and when I add additional objects to the build plate and Center and Arrange them I would like for the prime line ...
