Re: Setpoints and processes

So just to reiterate, here is how to answer it. Click "Prepare to Print" and select only one process. Now change the preview settings to be "by layer" and then look at what layer it says at the bottom of the window. For example, it might say layer 1 to 5 when it is showing those 5 layers. That tells...

Not quite sure what you mean. They already have automatic support placement. You can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tlrCpwAV4M

Re: Removed Supports still being generated and printed

I'm not sure what usage instructions you're referring to, but they have tutorials on their website and videos that explain exactly how this stuff works, and it's doing exactly what it should. If you enable support generation, then it's going to make sure you have support for you model. If you place ...

Re: filenames and 'print sdcard'

Unfortunately, that's how the firmware works. There's no way around it unless you want to re-write the firmware.

If you make the file names short enough though, you won't see the tilde. That's just for long filenames.

Re: Managing Profiles

You can click OK at the bottom to save the process. That way then can still make changes to the process for printing. Just don't click "Update Profile" since that will overwrite the base profile.

Re: Printing overhang with support

Personally, I think it's actually the opposite. If the plastic stays hot longer, it can curl more. If you cool it rapidly, it's stuck in that position. That's why you tend to use a lot of cooling with PLA. If you try printing PLA without cooling, it will curl like crazy.

That either means your extrusion width is too big or the letter are too small. Why don't you just attach your factory file on here so that others can look at it?

Re: Setpoints and processes

It doesn't change whether you're printing 1 process or printing all of them together. So the easiest way to check is to just slice that single process and then use the preview to see what layer you want to make the change at. Then enter that value as the setpoint. You will see that it still maintain...

Re: Print Defects on walls<20 degrees

That looks like either inconsistent extrusion or ringing. I think they talk about both of those in the S3D print quality guide if you want help with them
