S3D Fails to put correct supports

Lately for no apparent reason I have a number of problems with S3D. One of them is to put wrong supports. I have attached images of a model (simple steps) that completely ignores sections. Even if I turn the model upside down it does the same Any suggestions? Capture1.JPG Capture2.JPG Capture3.JPG

One way that I have found to get rid of the seam is to disable the "Force retraction between layers" in the advance menu.

I have just download and installed the new version 3.1.1. From what I can see there is no improvements from the requested features. Then why you do not add a user set-up scale factor to scale the estimated time as so many CNC programs have?
That can be printer based so that each printer has its own scale.

I will agree that not everyone wants to change these values but they could program it in such a way that if you do not change them they remain the default values and if you change them they are saved with the filament properties. Much better than have to go and correct each profile in my case 3 by t...

Material properties bug

I have just found out that whatever filament you choose the properties ( i.e. diameter, price and density) remain the same. I am using different filaments and every time I change filament I have to go and change everything manually. These parameters they should update with the material choice. George
