Re: Better feedback on feature requests posted here....

?! 42 pages with feature requests I would not call that silence :D ... not in the slightest! anyhow I don't think the "is the app developed", "when is the new release coming" and similar topics are of much use to anyone .. development ain't simple, and since s3d didn't decide to go open-source the "...

Re: object is holow (boat part) and s3d print it solid

just look hull complete.stl that stl is again with errors, first load it in netfabb or meshlab and fix errors second, that stl is not hollow. there's room for "ppl" but the tip of the hull is solid. the maker of the object suggests you print as "vase" .. you will get a single perimeter only, the st...

Re: Wrong slice in cylinder

If I am using Fusion 360 to design parts how would I set or know the resolution I am exporting at and set it to best advantage for the print? Never really thought about it until now. think about what you are printing with and use common sense .. if your min extruded line is 0.4mm for e.g. you can g...

Re: Printing Parts of the Model with different settings?

note that even if that part is 100% infill you will have poor adhesion between that part and the part below and above it! it can snap right off on a small side pressure :( .. especially if parts under/over it are with small infill ... I'd extend the "solid" region from middle of the lower part, trou...

Re: Wrong slice in cylinder

How can i have an highter résolution ? you don't need higher resolution, you need lower resolution. your output resolution can match (be slightly over) your printer resolution. the "best resolution" your software can output is probably around 0.01mm what's the point of that if you are printing with...

Re: Object being changed when copied

Interesting. There is a setting in Fusion 360 that I set to a higher resolution because of the too low of a quality print I was getting. Since changing it, the print quality is much better. older versions of simplify3d were notorious for not being able to handle too many triangles .. some other sli...

Re: Object being changed when copied

The factory file is 371MB so I did not try to upload it. that's the part with waaaaaaaaaaaay too much triangles then any 3d printer s3d can control will spit out :( I'd say you are around 9M triangles there .. if you have a source file for those parts export them in lower resolution (you do not nee...
