Re: Extruder not heating up

If anyone can explain the reasoning behind this it would be much appreciated as it is a pain to go into every G Code file to delete that single piece of information prior to each print. That sounds like a bug in the firmware to me. It shouldn't process commands that are commented out. In fact, I'm ...

Re: huge amount processes needed to print ONE part

Ok, so you want to print part of the model with a completely solid layer that goes across the entire part, but for other parts of the model you don't want that? In that case, you'll need to use multiple processes to tell the software you want it to behave differently (thankfully S3D has this option,...

Re: Mirrored X axis in every print

Well that would mean your 3D printer is not setup correctly. That isn't a valid set of directions, since that would always make parts backwards vs how they are exported from a CAD program. So I would say you either wired something incorrectly, or your firmware configuration needs to be changed. In p...

Re: PWM Fan not working

Well do you see the M106 commands in the final gcode file that you export? What commands do you normally use to turn on the fan?

Re: Accurate & Repeatable Scaling Parameters

Can't you already do this by just double-clicking on the part?

There's a video showing how to do it here:

Re: v4 Preferences/FFF files location on a Mac

Well assuming you can't do the normal File > Export FFF Profile route, then you might have some luck looking at the locations mentioned here:

Re: Default baud rate?

Yes, you can set it on the G-Code tab of your process settings in the lower right. That will automatically update the software to use that baud rate anytime you use that profile.

Re: Mirrored X axis in every print

So +X moves to the right, +Y moves towards you, and +Z moves the head upwards away from the bed? Is that right?

Re: Ooze Shield Alternating extruders when set not to

The only time the ooze shield extruder alternates is if you are using multiple extruders on the same or alternating layers. If you are using the same extruder for 10 layers or something like that, the ooze shield extruder stays the same. Do you have large numbers of layers where you are only using a...

Re: Mirrored X axis in every print

Ok, well the software shows the direction of the XYZ axes, so you can look at that to see what direction +X is pointing in (it would be the direction of the red arrow). Then connect to your printer and do something like this G1 X0 F3600 ; note where the printer is after this command G1 X20 F3600 ; n...
