Re: Supports not reach base of part

You possibly want to tweak some settings here. If you change the size of the support pillars this will give you better granularity which would smooth out changes in angle. Similarly, if you extend the Extra Inflation Distance, it will move closer to the filleted edge which may help too.

Re: Do I need to reload STL files after changes

Thanks to both who posted. I guess I was doing it right all along. I would think it better if it could be linked to a STL file. Maybe I will suggest this as a feature. It can be a pain re-creating a factory file with a new design every time. That's what drove me to make this post as it seems like i...

Re: Do I need to reload STL files after changes

You will need to replace the STL as the original is held in the factory file (AFAIAA)

Re: Help with FlashForge Creator Pro

That is really odd. It sounds as if the installation on the new machine is simply not working, doesn't it? Have you tried running the Configuration Assistant again? Perhaps even go as far as removing and re-installing S3D completely on the new machine if that doesn't help?

Re: Alfawise U20 printer displays "Print finished" although it never started to print !

I assume that the print preview shows a valid print, does it? Many a time I have forgotten to clear the "Start print at .." height meaning that there was nothing to print.

Re: Simple UI selection of wipe position

OK, thank you. Perhaps I'll try it that way then. It did seem like a bit of a niche requirement when I suggested it ;)

Thanks for you help

Re: Simple UI selection of wipe position

it doesn't have a specified area as such but what I do at present is apply a layer of blue tape at the default S3D location to make the wipe there more positive. In practice this is the front right corner of the bed, so I have a triangle of one (or two) layers of tape across that corner. This seems ...

Re: How do you align parts in the dual extruder wizard

If the origins aren't set properly then the slicer isn't going to know where they should align, surely? If you're lucky and they have a common face then you could try aligning but setting that face on the bed on each, but other than that you're a little stuck for it to be done automatically, I imagi...

Re: Simple UI selection of wipe position

Yes, I can see that that could help, but ideally a separate setting would be better still as it would divorce the one function from the other. That is, I may have very specific requirements of a skirt or brim and adding the possible variables from a wipe could compromise that. Also, the normal wipe ...
