Re: Reduce build voume to compensate for large fan duct

I'm intrigued... I have a Creator Pro and I can't see what the duct is for or where it might be connected.

Please may I ask?

Re: Layer Shifting

Most likely is a mechanical problem - the printer has been knocked or the mechanics got "stuck" during the print.

Re: Proper "Zoom" function in preview

Ahhhh! Thank you so much. That makes things so much easier. I did think it was odd.

Zoom to mouse rather than center of build volume

I imagine that either this has already been asked or is already implemented but I can't find how, but just in case... If I try to zoom in on a Preview then the zoom always tends to the centre of the bed, rather than to the area I want to inspect. So, if I'm looking at a feature towards the edge of t...

Re: Your firmware does not support real-time speed changes.

I don't think it's a S3D problem but a limitation in the FFCP/firmware (again I'm passing on what I was told, hoping to be proven wrong).

Re: Your firmware does not support real-time speed changes.

My understanding is that the FFCP doesn't support settings changes on the fly via USB. It will handle it from the panel during a print, but will not do so from GCODE via USB. I believe that was the response I got when asking the same question. I would love for that answer to have been wrong, however...

Re: Hidden feature of S3D....Time travel!

I can see one major problem with this approach. Presumably it also uses negative amounts of filament. Essentially, you add a completed print to your bed and it converts it back into a roll of filament.

Could be very handy when you have a print which goes wrong - you can just rewind and start again.

Re: Recovering S3D settings from dead laptop

Yes, in that case it does sound as if the OS is dead rather than the laptop hardware so that solution probably won't work - although might be worth a try, depending on how desperate you're feeling.

Re: Recovering S3D settings from dead laptop

If the original HDD is still good, you can probably boot from it in a different machine and then log in as you did before and export the profiles. Get a USB3-SATA adapter and boot the old drive.

Re: Bottom of Printed Part is "Squishy" or not filled

Why are you using 4.0.0 and not 4.0.1? Could the problem not be explained quite simply by your not using the current version?
