Adding glass plate to Creator pro

I am planning to add a glass plate to my (2016 if it's relevant) FFCP. This is because prints are welding themselves to the existing sheet. This is not altogether bad, I know and I can remove the prints. However, it can be very difficult to remove them and I'm concerned that I'll damage something if...

Re: Dual Printing with Per-Layer Temperature Setpoints

I was discussing a similar problem here recently and in my research discovered that multi-process prints have there settings defined per- process. So, if you have the temperature on at layer 120, then that relates to the process itself, not the whole.print. I wonder if that might explain your proble...

Re: Setting changes with multiple processes and layer count

Having now read the "tip of the day" posts again, I can see that this says that both temperature and fan settings are counted per-process . So, I can assume that this is definitive, but is presumably over-ridden if the processes are grouped. I played around with grouping the processes today and that...

Re: Setting changes with multiple processes and layer count

Actually, I think that the "me being dim" bit is that I didn't group the processes? Although having played with that it then looks as if I can't then have multiple processes at a later layer.

Re: Setting changes with multiple processes and layer count

If you look at the print preview and run the layer range sliders, you will see the layer numbers being indicated at the bottom of the window. Surely that will not only reassure you as to what the answer is....it will answer your next question..."How do I know what the layer number is?" Thank you fo...

Setting changes with multiple processes and layer count

I've searched the forum for a definitive answer for this and have found both possible answers; which didn't help terribly... I have a print which has three processes, these are to vary extruder and infill percentage. I want also to have different bed temperatures, but not related to the processes bu...

Re: No limits on print sizes

Any decent firmware already supports having a max z-limit to prevent this type of stuff. For example, in Marlin it's called a "software max endstop" (which is a confusing name, but it essentially tells the firmware to stop any motion that tries to go beyond the max limit). It's better and much safe...

Re: FFCP ABS Just Cant

What I found works for me:

* Wipe surface (standard build tape or blue tape on top) with acetone first (just acetone on its own seems to work for me)
* Bed: 110
* Extruder: 220
* Door closed
* Lid on
* No fan
* 90% first layer height

No limits on print sizes

I'm sure it's me missing an obvious reason but I've just had an experience whereby I've discovered that S3D doesn't limit the dimensions of a print based upon the limits of a printer. I had a print which was large in the Z dimension but when sliced the preview showed the entire print. I had assumed ...

Actually, taking it a stage further, an IFTTT trigger would be very nice indeed.

Trigger of print job complete with an action of "turn off power" and notify would be very helpful.
