Re: Crazy build times

Probably because you are entering your speed settings in mm/sec instead of mm/min. You can go to Tools > Options in S3D to choose which unit system you want to use, but if you enter 20 mm/min instead of 20 mm/sec, it will go very slow!

Re: Automatic Fill?

Why don't you attach the STL file?

Re: Automatic Fill?

Did you already run the repair checks in S3D to look for non-manifold or self-intersecting surfaces? If it finds issues, there may be a problem with the model.

You should also check the Advanced tab to make sure you have the "merge all outlines into a single solid model" option disabled.

Re: Center and Arrange?

So how about posting a factory file? No way to offer any help otherwise...

Re: Retraction at start - but never undone

The line "G1 E0.0000 Fxxx" already primes the nozzle to make up for the retraction you highlighted. It is using absolute extrusion distances, so moving from E -5 to E 0 will prime 5mm. If you want more info about this, I recommend reading this nice guide on the S3D site: https://www.simplify3d.com/s...

Re: Center and Arrange?

Can you post the factory file? Are you using the latest v4.0.1?

Re: Only retract when crossing open spaces

There is a separate option that controls whether or not it retracts between layers

Re: Processes vs. Profiles

Here's the short answer that I usually give to my colleagues:

And here's a longer answer I like that someone else gave for a similar question:

Re: How do I get simplify3d to raise the printend at the end?

I think you need to put that command in the ending script, not the post-processing section. The post-processing section is just for terminal commands or custom scripting (not regular gcode).

Re: Individual Layers heights for each Nozzle

Yup, you can do this in S3D using multiple processes. It has a lot more flexibility.
