Re: select objects not to print

I think Doug's suggestion is the only approach that works. I've tried to uncheck the model in the main window and it does nothing when I go to slice. Fortunately, since you presumably won't be using the off-plate process for printing, the settings don't need to be kept up to date.

Re: Reload Part

If this feature were implemented, you'd most likely still have to redo custom supports. There's really no way for the application to know how to adapt something it didn't generate.

Re: M3D Crane Quad setup

Did you happen to get your profile working? I've been banging my head trying to get the one they sent over to reliably print even with just one extruder... Those tiny motors seem to have one heck of a time with retractions. Yes, it's working quite well. If you can minimize the resistance from the f...

Re: Print is lifting

I print PETG with a bed temperature of 85. I also put down a layer of Elmer's glue stick (the purple stuff that turns clear when it dries), which not only helps prevent lifting but also acts as a release agent when the print is done. When I was printing on a bed sheet, I used glue there also to help...

Re: Snapmaker 2.0 (A350) ?

I use a profile for my Snapmaker 1.0 that I fully expect to work with the A350 after adjusting the bed size. I'm not sure about being able to print directly from S3D: I actually use an OctoPi as a network interface for my Snapmaker and just upload the G-code files to it and print from there. If the ...

Re: how to flatten the top of a model

It depends on how deep of an impression you want to make. You'll just have to experiment.

Re: Really bad seam lines!

You usually trade quality when you go for speed. How does it come out if you randomize the start points for the layers?

Re: Can't get this stl to print as is

Probably not an optimized model. Many times, you can fix gaps like this by going into the Mesh menu and selecting "Separate connected surfaces".

Tetrahydrofuran dissolves PETG and evaporates quickly. But it is hard to find and have to be used outside because of toxic fumes.
I've tried some solvent solutions on PETG with limited success. I have not tried Gorilla Glue, which I think would work. It would expand into the inter-layer spaces.
