Re: reduce resolution

So IMO there's nothing "ideal" about joining them, it's actually easier to vendor-lock user so one can use only your filament and only your resin and only buy stuff from you but brings nothing to the table for the user. And again, even in that case, the preprocessor and the executor talk language, ...

Re: reduce resolution

Hi Arhi, I'm into this kind of research and my opinion on this subject is totally different. It's ok to say that G-code is not an universal file, but in the real life we use it more or less in that way. Only the machine firmware is able to know where the machine "sweet spot" lie, but we operate a do...

Re: reduce resolution

Hi greybeard, if you try to export a single layer (ex 0.2 mm) cylinder in different STL resolution you will observe that S3D will not mantain a linear relationship between the number of triangles of the cylinder surface and the number of G1 instructions. Slicing a perfect cube is also an illuminatin...

Re: reduce resolution

Hi, there's no such thing as an "Resolution" option in S3D, you have to play with the usual parameters in order to speed up the print (maybe try also to increase the minimum lenght deposition value for infill and single extrusions.) I'm sad, but you are tied to the approximation-intepretation chain ...

Re: Perimeters Not Bonding Together

Hi, in the posted fff profile I can see high values set for a lot of parameters (for ex. estrusion, speeds, minimum lenghts, ecc.), and there are to much things that can be wrong in the hardware-print chain. So I suggest you to: First ensure to proper calibrate your extruder steps per mm (a firmware...

(Also try to write in a more intelligible way, thank you.)

Re: MP Voxel issues - Not happy at all with this expensive software

Hi, why still bothering about Slicers-Printers compatibility? If your FFF printer can read standard G-code you are able to use the desired generic slicer! Do yourself a favor and start trying to go deep inside things, because FFF printers are not household appliances . For example you don't need to ...

Re: print speed updates in every material?

@S3D... When I first setup S3D, I should be able to select a printer type, then go through the "Auto config for material" menu add my various filaments, set the temps, cooling, extrusion, retraction etc... for each one. Then move over to the "Auto config for Print Quality" and do the same, set spee...

Re: Hollow object without closed body, slicer adding bottom

Hi tef11,
please share wit us your STL, anyway you can try to:

  • export again or fix your STL;
  • play with the "Slicing Behavior" settings in the "Advanced" tab.
