generally speaking, do process support settings override or combine with the support tool settings? or just the settings that are in the process that are not present in the support tool?

Re: brim / skirt from part not ooze shield

thanks. we'll see. i found out rafts are supposed to print that slowly ha. i've been thinking about this more as i am getting some warp on the corners of a thin building wall. i think it's probably the best idea to use a raft in these situations. i brim could be beneficial, but i think a raft would ...

Re: Top layer feature type

you know, i wondered about that for a second too... if this is such a "thin" roof, even though there is plenty of infill, it would probably be weaker. or, it might de-laminate? what i'm printing now is working out fantastically. my settings are dialed in and i'm printing like a madman. many small bu...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

i'm only 2 years into 3d printing as a hobby and occasional work related prints, and for these 2 years i've mostly used the one everyone else uses by a printer maker. i finally made the switch to s3d for curiosity, for chasing the "perfect print" i figured i had 30 days to return it so what's the wo...

Top layer feature type

this is a peaked roof being printed. the green is a "top layer"? is there a way to make that green narrower in width? i'm not even sure what it's called as a feature for sure. no big deal. ps i'm working on a huge project for work, i'm amazed at how quickly and easily i'm able to print stuff out... ...

Re: deactivating license

deactivating license

so i'm kind of in need to install simplify3d on a 3rd computer - but i get the message that 2 computer licenses are already used. then i go to the webpage to force a deactivation of one of my computers and it recommends uninstalling it rather than forcing a deactivation. so, is it a big deal if i fo...

zoom about mouse point

hello, thought it'd be great that if you zoomed, it would zoom in towards where the mouse is pointing. in both print preview and non-print preview windows. orbit about mouse point might be good too, but sometimes that's not so good :) i'd just be happy with zoom to mouse point! thank you
