Re: how to input scale

Here is what I would do:
1/29 / 1/32 = 1.10345
So it looks like you need to scale up a bit over 10%.

I do not think that I am missing anything with this formula.

Re: PETG Issue

Yeah, PETG is a completely different beast from PLA. Comments and hints. Ditch the raft, that is a waste of time and material. Get your bed level and you won't need it. Leveling is an hour or so of time that you will not regret doing. PETG prints hotter, both in bed and nozzle temperature. Unless yo...

Re: Identify my profile changes

It would be nice to have what CURA does - there is an icon next to the parameter that you changed. As long as you don't save your changes you can click on that "swirlie" icon and get the original value for that parameter back. Also, when you create a new profile, CURA will show you what changed from...

Re: Version 5 Announcement

Since it has been 17 months since their last release, I am thinking that S3D is now vaporware. It doesn't currently integrate with Octoprint, or Duet except with clumsy curl scripts, lacks some basic features (much spoken about elsewhere) and really has some very old bugs never fixed (can you PLEASE...

Re: First layer Extrusion multiplier

I too will raise my hand. There are times when I do not want a wider trace, I want more material. Yeah, usually this is a mechanical adjustment, you can dork for two hours and 30m of filament to get that perfect height for a particular filament or you can up the extrusion multiple a bit in 5 seconds...

Re: Seasons Greetings

I want to explain my stance on the "whiners" some of you are talking about. First of all, I have nothing against the developers of the product. I love the product. What I do see time after time after time is promises that are not delivered, empty marketing content and all other kinds of things I am...

Re: Can I run this software with a laptop that has Intel i3 processor?

I do all the time. Works great, and fast. CURA runs like a dog on my i3 with 16GB of RAM, S3D runs as fast as it does on my "bigger" machines.

When using multiple processes, temperature settings are ignored

Windows 10 Home S3D 4.1.2 RepRap using Marlin 1.1.8 firmware configured for two extruders, one nozzle. Cyclops dual-filament, single nozzle This combo works awesome, no need for any custom scripts. But If I have a model, where 2/3 of the way up I switch from extruder 1 to extruder 0, the extruder te...

Re: Temperatures are not changing with process.

January 2020, this bug is still here. I just ran across it using two processes to, one for each extruder, which switch extruders part way up the part. Only the very first temperature is set, I have to manually change it. I will be adding some script work to properly do this. Hopefully the 5.0 releas...
