Re: PowerSpec 3d Print Issue

First: Micro center doesn't know anything about 3D printers, but their warrantee and repair are pretty good. If it is still under warrantee, get it back to the store and they will fix it for free.. If you're out of warrantee: If it is just the X-Axis skipping, you likely have a bad stepper driver. y...

Re: Tip of the Day 30 - Using 3DTouch, CubeX,CubePro and Rap

Okay, I've made some progress now I'm a bit stuck with something I feel everyone has encountered. I got simplify 3d Dialed in almost.. I have a layer thickness I'm very happy with, now I have these seam issues that I can't figure out how to get rid of. I've tried multiple ooze settings in Simplify ...

Re: Tip of the Day 30 - Using 3DTouch, CubeX,CubePro and Rap

Hello, I guess my "knocking problem" has been a result of to low temperature. But I have some more trouble: 1. when the extruder goes to the position, where the model will be printed, it stays there for a few seconds and extrudes filament. So there is some useless filament, which is not g...

Tool Change by Layer

Increasing the scope of the [newtool], [oldtool] and {if oldtool}, {if newtool} placeholders to the layer change script would allow color or material dithering by layer. When using transparent PETG, the effect is pretty cool--one could have 2 colors loaded and effectively mix(its not really mixing, ...

Alternating Materials per layer

Short of editing g-code manually, is there any way alternate tools by layer? I'm trying to mix PETG colors. I know at least one other user has asked this question and gotten no replys. The placeholders for identifying old-tool and new-tool are not available in the layer change script. Can they be ma...

Hello, I guess you have to downgrade your firmware. I have 1.10/V2 and it is working (Try really small numbers like 0.00000000001 before). I have a Cube Pro Trio and try to make it working with Simplify as well. I'm using the profiles posted here, but still got problems: -before the print starts, w...

Re: Tip of the Day 30 - Using 3DTouch, CubeX,CubePro and Rap

The trick is to simply change the "Material Length" line in your startup script to ".001" or some other small number. All of the profiles posted on this forum do this for you already. Below is an example of the beginning of my startup script: ^Firmware:V1.10 ^Minfirmware:V1.00 ^D...

Re: Low-ish cost S3D compatible printer for Mac OS?

Hi, I'm a total noob in this 3D printing game and I'm looking to buy a sub $1000 3d printer that will work out of the box on Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite. I don't mind assembling a kit as long as it comes with human readable instructions but I don't want to be constantly messing around hacking third party...
