Re: How to move profiles from one machine to another?

Finally, where are these profiles stored for S3D 4.1.2? I can't find them anywhere. Try checking HKCU\SOFTWARE\Simplify3D\S3D-Software\FFFWindow -> ProfileDatabaseContents in the registry on your old PC, this is where 4.x does store the profiles. You can also copy/paste them into a editor and split...

Re: v5.1: M1 native support?

S3D 5.1 works on M1, but it is very slow, almoust unusable when you need to display and check g-code preview (larger objects). Ideamaker is 100x faster: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-Cq2buiwb_qG2RG8jA0Z4QWKrc51QURp So you're saying the 5.1 release from yesterday in native mode is running...

Did you even test v5.1? Looking at creation/modification date and size this does look like
a release < 5.1, especially when compared to the screenshot provied by symonty...?

Re: Pause at layer 3 or when fans engage?

why in the world would S3D add a pause? pausing is like the worst thing you can do second only to hanging a left for no reason :-) and yes blip to full power is enabled. It adds the pause because you've selected to do so. If the fan does not start at 30% and does need the blip to 100% - how effecti...

Re: Pause at layer 3 or when fans engage?

Anyway. why does it stop? is it something in my settings or is it being told to stop their? why not just "keep moving" as the fan spools up? Sounds like "Blip fan to full power" enabled, is that possible? This might include a G4 P500 between switching the fan to full power and t...

Re: How to print non enclosed model

Anyhow if anyone can provide a solution or valid suggestion I would be extremely grateful. Sorry, can't provide a solution and it's been a decade since I've seen Rhino the last time. But if your model is made of multiple components, maybe you can use the boolean union modifier and/or cap holes/crea...

Re: v5.0.2 crashes

The Restore workspace on startup option is also disabled in 5.0.2. No savedState.factory file exists in C:\Program Files\Simplify3D-5.0.2 . The savedState won't be saved to the program files directory, that would require admin privileges. The savedState used to be inside the users profile, at least...

Re: BUG report. repeatable vase mode inconsistency in pathing

Don't have enough time at hand to go through all this thorougly right now. But... these are all designed around 0.2 mm layer height so no guarantees will happen at any other layer height I've never modified parts afterwards to make them vase mode compatible, when I did this it was from the start whe...

Re: BUG report. repeatable vase mode inconsistency in pathing

...and some last pictures to this, what Cura, PS and IdeaMaker did in comparison: Cura 4.8.0: m1_c480.PNG Note: In Cura you can select the slicing tolerance (upper/lower/center of the layer), this does change the slicing results. Another clue this is because of the slicing tolerances along z. IM4.1....

Re: BUG report. repeatable vase mode inconsistency in pathing

...so I tried to reduce the extrusion width. While this did have a dramatic effect in S3D it didn't really help when using other slicers. This is at 0.2mm extrusion width, 0.1mm layer height, s3d v4.1.2: m1_s3d412_thin.PNG Obviously printing like that isn't really an option. It does take much thinne...
