Re: Weird extrusion issue / lumps after a few layers

I've found 100% infill doesn't work well when trying to make a solid part. Better to set your bottom layers to 9999 and then you part prints without infill, only solid layers top to bottom.

Re: Circular Infil and alternating.

On the INFILL tab, have you tried setting EXTERNAL INFILL to Concentric?

Re: Pull Tab

A feature printed at a slight angle will require support, which would defeat the purpose of your tab. Get a wood chisel - works great to lift the edge of a part off the build surface. Keep the back-side of the chisel flat against the plate so it doesn't gouge. https://www.amazon.com/Tools-Marples-Wo...

Re: How do I make this part stronger?

I would make a 7/16" hex pocket in the back of the blue part and use a 1/4-20 hex head bolt rather than printing the threads.

Re: travels between parts in sequential print in vase mode

Guys......think really hard about what you're asking for from the software!!!! You want your printer to print say a five or six inch high part in vase mode......and then to print another part on the bed alongside it. How the hell do you think the print head will be able to get anywhere near the bed...

Re: travels between parts in sequential print in vase mode

I have done small vase-mode parts sequentially without issue, but I tried to slice two 90mm tall parts last night for sequential print and they would not slice for vase mode. I don't know if there's a max clearance value that is hard-coded into S3D or what caused them not to slice for sequential pri...

Re: Print quality when printing thin structures/segments

I have not looked at the factory file, but it looks to me like the features you are printing are very small relative to the nozzle size, so they are getting built up with minute squirts of material rather than running paths. You might need to change to a smaller nozzle to get a clean build of the sm...

Re: miss match of layer height and model height

What size nozzle are you running?

I have had print quality issues when trying to push layers down too thin. When running a .1 or less layer height I use a .2mm nozzle.

Re: miss match of layer height and model height

The first part of the question would be pretty easy for you to answer yourself by slicing a model with different layer heights and seeing where the Z-height comes out on the preview. I believe S3D just rounds up or down to get as close as it can if the layers don't come out even for the height. I ha...
