Variable settings wizard: by Layer, or by Line.

I like being able to define a divide. But there are more complex needs that must be defined with more literal, and tighter parameters. By height, no mater how absolute is handled approximately by the slicer engine. I know what layer I need to change up the settings, I simply lack the tool to do this...

Re: Circular Infil and alternating.

Yes, thank you. Good suggestion. I though this was for other functions, such as support structure not skin.

However still need circular, or perimeter pattern based internal infill.

Circular Infil and alternating.

I have need of a infill that can be concentric. For now I make the skin very thick and turn off top and bottom. But I would like to make all upper and lower skins concentric while using a Rectilinear or Fast Honeycomb as infill, for structural durability. I also on occasion require a sparse infill, ...

Re: Strange behavior. 1st Layer and Bug report

Yes, I would, if I could be sure it would give you what you need. But I would have to export more than the factory file. Simply put, the task is more complex than any one would like to believe it is. There is nothing simple, about Simplify.

Re: Com 10

Followup, I did notice that the software will remember the last device connected to at launch, and will connect automatically, when "Begin Printing over USB" is clicked, if the printer is already plugged in and powered on. However this is as far as the memory goes. If the device is disconn...

Com 10

When printer is disconnected, and there are multiple com ports active, Simplify 3D seems to get confused and will default to the first open port. Sending a file, even if printer is connected will result in an Error. Updated to V4.0.1 after reading "USB communication settings are now maintained ...

Strange behavior. 1st Layer and Bug report

When printing with PETG, I set up the printer to make a thin wide first layer. This mostly compensates for any difference in the surface and generates a very nice layer to build on. However after switching out my build material and re calibrating the printer, when changing out the settings in S3D, I...

Re: Filament Settings

Decided to make a proper closure here. I operate Simplify 3D in a dumbed down format. The select-able options ultimately are a waste of hot air given they do little to nothing that I need then to. So I found out how to remove them and recommend others to do the same. I then save the profile for each...

Re: When is inverted not? Build plate issue.

Thank you Horst.W, I have not been logged in for several months. I see that you replied with some very good instructions. I will look to see how I can apply them. However I discovered after sending manual commands that X0 Y0 were not so much inverted as G28 and X0 Y0 were literally different locatio...

Re: When is inverted not? Build plate issue.

To add insult to injury.

When I says G28, the head moves to front right. When I say G1 X0 Y0 the head moves to front left.
So is G28 not Zero?
