Re: V4 Import STL circle size error

I have an stl exported from Sketchup that has a diameter of 508mm Can anyone explain why it would give me a smaller dimension in the Y axis for a circle? Because depending on the quality settings your objects will be segmented. There's no arcs or circles inside STL files. Horizontal size is turned ...

Re: Y-axis short

I mean mechanical problems, like inaccurate timing belts, inaccurate pulleys and "e-steps". These can be corrected using the “steps/mm” in the firmware. Depending on the fault I'd recommend replacing pulley with the bores off-center or the like. In the long run those problems will usually...

Re: Y-axis short

Often this is a mechanical problem. You have to correct this in the printer's firmware. How exactly would you "correct" a mechanical problem in firmware? Before using less than ideal workarounds like skew correction I'd recommended fixing the problem. Not trying to mask it. Unfortunately,...

Re: First Layer Issue

...odd changes in the topology of the STL file... It is a customer file so I can't share it. Then at least share an image of the section in question. It's obvious there's some thin wall feature or a height change in topology coming, because what you're showing in your first post highly suggests thi...

Re: Pan hotkey customization on laptop

Hi, Thanks for replying, but that's the section I was talking about where the only options available are control schemes from other programs and doesn't allow changing the hotkeys individually. oh, okay. As mentioned in the other thread I am not using v5 and was very interested in knowing if exactly...

Re: Gaps in brim

80% first layer height ( .25mm later height ). What am I missing? Maybe you've missed one of the changes a few years back, I think introduced in v4.x. Reducing first layer height will now also reduce the amount of material extruded. Up to v3.x this did not happen, so lowering first layer height sim...

So the first extrusion happening on a print is the skirt feature, without any purge/extruder moves happening before?
Do you not having the same problem?
No.

Are there any purges/extrusions inside the starting script which might explain the 96.3mm³?
