Re: Extruder and heat bed On/Off Buttons request

We're looking to add a temperature and position readout in the future so you don't have to try to read everything off the graph. I'll see if we can squeeze in some sort of an on/off toggle for the temperatures. I like the ideal of color coding too so that you know when the extruder is hot just by lo...

Re: Feedback and Requests

Hey Luke, I'm not super familiar with the Rostock family of printers since I've never had the pleasure of using one. When you talk about wanting to home the build in the center, are you looking for Creator to modify the homing routine or the G-Code itself? I know the infill is constrained to the bui...

Re: First Creator success

Glad the new profiles are working well for you guys :D If you get a really good print, maybe post some pictures or your .fff profile so others can benefit. I want to keep improving the standard profile that's in there, so if we notice everyone is getting consistently better prints with a slightly di...

Re: Feature Requests

Hah, it's funny sometimes, because the middle mouse button was actually a request from another user. But clearly we need an option to toggle that since not everyone likes it. Getting to decide what keyboard/mouse commands you use to rotate/pan the camera will be tough. I might have to start small wi...

Re: Ideal Fan Control Settings

Good suggestion on "blipping" the fan to a higher speed when getting started. I've experienced that problem first-hand several times. I will have to think about how to separate the M106 S255 and M106 S150 commands for example. If they are right next to each other the firmware would process...

Re: Setting machine z height?

You're on the right track, but you can't click "Home All" after you manually zero the position. Homing essentially runs each axis backwards until it runs into the physical endstops and then set that position as zero. It doesn't care what you call zero via G92 commands, just cares when the ...

Re: Setting machine z height?

The Z-stroke I was talking about defines your build volume height (see screenshot) zstroke.png But it sounds like you're talking about something else. We are actually already working on some new features that will make this a breeze, such as defining what Z-heights you want to start and end printing...

Re: Setting machine z height?

It's called stroke in Creator. Go to Tools > Options (or Preferences on a Mac) and look at the right-hand side. The Z-axis stroke is what you're looking for. By default it's setup to match the M2 dimensions.

Re: Slicer fail

I'm glad you're starting to get some better settings figured out for your printer regardless of what software it is. There's some things for 3D printing that you will need to calibrate regardless of what program you end up using. The extrusion multiplier was a start, but I also think some experiment...

Re: Slicing error? Gcode missing some features/details

So I did some analysis on the STL and I think I at least have the reason for the missing feature nailed down. Let me make a few general suggestions first, just to help others that might be learning. Anytime you have issues with a model, the first thing I would do is go to Repair > Identify Non-Manif...
