Re: X move at start

Take a look at the Scripts tab in the process configuration. In there, you'll see a tab for ths start script. The offending commands are likely in that script if they're not burned into the firmware.

Re: Manually Overriding the endstop

What flavor of G-code does the printer use? If you an input raw G-codes and it uses RepRapFirmware codes, use "M564 S0 H0". That will disable the software axis limits on all axes. If it's something other than RepRapFirmware, then maybe you can find a suitable G-code on my favorite referenc...

Re: Gaps in my model

It's probably a non-manifold model and/or multiple models in one file. Selecting Separate Connected Surfaces from the Mesh menu should allow it to slice as expected. It will generate multiple meshes in the side bar. Make sure you select Separate Connected Surfaces only after getting the objects posi...

Re: How do i set the printing speed ??!

The base speed is in the Speeds tab in the process configuration. There are other speeds in other tabs that are expressed as a percentage of the base speed.

Re: Starting point?

As I recall, one of the options in the Process configuration is to specify the starting point. There are three selections: a random one to reduce the prominence of trace start/stop artifacts, one that optimizes moves to print as quickly as possible, and a third to specify an actual starting point.

Re: Will Simplify3D install on MacOS Catalina? 64 Bit

I don't think I've tried installing it since I started using Catalina beta. I can try it this evening if I remember. I assume you're trying to hold off buying it until you're sure you can use it right away?

Re: M3D Crane Quad setup

Stand by. I'm close to being able to release a profile to the Crane GitHub. I'll include a link to the GitHub location in this thread once I'm done. I took the profile that S3D gave me and made some tweaks to make it act more like the official profile for other slicers, specifically to prime the fou...

Re: First Layer over support is stringy

Another thing you can look at is the print preview to see if the first layer over the support is a bridge (yellow colored). On a small part you may wish to in crease the bridge threshold so it does not create a bridge there but rather a regular layer. It may come out a little better. Conversely, I ...
