When doing dual extrusion, is there any way to make the initially idle extruder only warm up to the standby temperature instead of heating to printing temperature and then cooling down once the print actually starts?
According to the RepRap G-code reference wiki (https://reprap.org/wiki/G-code), M600 is supported by Marlin (the flavor of G-code Snapmaker uses). It's defined as a filament change pause, but I suppose you could use it for any purpose.
I wonder if they removed it because it was confusing. In v4, the hidden bodies would still be sliced. If they do re-implement it, I'd like to see it slice as it appears on the build plate, i.e. if it's hidden, it shouldn't be sliced.
With the addition of adaptive layering, I'd like to see the ability to change fan speeds based on mm height instead of layer number. I'd suggest making it an option. That would allow more optimum fan control for extruder mounted fans that might overcool the print at too low of a height.
I'm surprised that Simplify3D still cannot do different skirts/brims and rafts per-process. I'd like to be able to add a brim or raft to a tall thin part that's being printed at the same time as other parts not requiring a brim or raft.
