Re: S3D Ironing method, using a Process

If I need ironing I just slice with Prusaslicer 3.x it is more or less the same as S3D and setting transfer 1 to 1 for my use. I wish I could, too, but Prusa slicer does not have coast & wipe, so I need to wait until I upgrade my controller. My controller does not have Pressure Advance. I often...

S3D Ironing method, using a Process

There have been a lot of requests for ironing on here. I, myself, have switched to Cura, partly for this capability, among other things--the prints just look so much better with Ironing on. But, has anybody else tried just creating an extra Process that performs a pseudo-ironing? Sure, it is not a c...

Report layer change to Octoprint?

Is there a command I can put in the Layer Change Script to tell Octoprint the Z location? I would like to be able to see where it is on the Z height, in Octoprint, without printing with Octoprint. For those asking "why not print from Octopring?", my 3d printer cannot print well using it--t...

Re: Adaptive Outer Shell

I have seen other slicers with something similar to what he is describing. I'll try to rephrase it. In a straight-walled object, the perceived "print quality" is identical from top to bottom. In a spherical object, the perceived print quality is "best" near the center of the sphe...

Re: "Material Used %" at Layer in GCode preview

I, too, like this idea.

How about releasing some bugfixes first, though...it's been almost 2-1/2 years since 4.1 was released.

Re: Improve GCODE Resolution

I see this thread is almost 2 years old, but it's also been almost 2.5 years since 4.1 was released... perhaps at least convert the Arc Welder features from the OctoPrint plugin?

Re: G2/G3 Arc Paths options

I know this is an old thread, but I have recently started using OctoPrint, and the Arc Welder plugin does this.

Maybe someone with more time than I will be able to adapt it to a Simplify 3d plugin. It has been adapted to Cura already.

Have fun!

Re: Lotmaxx printer?

This is probably FAR from optimized, but I have made a few decent parts.

"Material Used %" at Layer in GCode preview

I am printing a part that is tall, but most of the plastic is in the bottom 3mm. If the GCode Preview had a "progress bar" or something like that to show you the percentage of filament used (or grams used, or mm used, or anything helpful like that) at given layers, that would be very helpf...

Lotmaxx printer?

Has anybody set up a Lotmaxx SC-10 Shark yet? Care to share a setup profile?

Thanks!
