Re: different speed at layers

I reduce speed - usually just for single extrusion fill - but could be layer based - with the post processing script function and M220. Your print speed for the part would be the maximum you want to run -then you can reduce to a percentage of that, for example 50% is M220 S50. If you wanted to set y...

Re: First infill layer weak - Second seems ok?

I'm guessing your first layer prints slower. If you're getting good fill but faster layers seem to underextrude, I'd increase temperature. Different brands of PETG print differently, but I rarely go below 240 nozzle temp and print some as high as 260. You'll probably get better layer bond strength a...

Re: Printing at angles

please post photos or screen shots to clarify the issue you're having. Is this happening in the slicer, or on the actual print? If in the slicer, include your factory file.

Re: Shrink RATE , should be added to filament properties

I am able to get accurate geometry typically within +/- 0.1mm on my parts using the methodology outlined in this thread using my Calibration Cross test print an the accompanying spreadsheet to calculate part scaling factors and horizontal offset. https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6130...

Re: Feature Request: Linear Advance

Are you talking about an actual slicer feature, or the ability to enable it?
I simply have the gcode command in my start script.

Re: Tips for preventing a warped glass bed?

Make sure you're barking up the right tree. Is the glass warped, or is the gantry sagging? On my old Makergear M2, the plate with the linear rail for the X axis would take on a little warp. Some said it was a reaction to the belt tension - I never confirmed the true cause. I removed the linear rail ...

On the Advanced tab, make sure "Only retract when crossing open spaces" is not checked.

Re: No model after clicking Prepare to Print

I tried to force this to happen with process settings, but couldn't make it happen.
If start/end print height is outside the model S3D throws an error when slicing. I tried having no models selected in the process but it would bring the models back into the process if there wasn't anything to print.

Re: "Speed Overrides" / Part Cooling

I've used multiple processes on the skinny bits of a print like that to control speed, temperature, and cooling. Takes a fair bit of trial and error to get into something like that. I've added a part to the print for cooling purposes, similar to what you are describing.
