Re: V5.1.2 Crashes with Dremel 3D20

We use hubs all the time here and haven't ever encountered this issue. I don't think we've seen other complaints about communicating with the 3D20 either.

Are you able to try connecting without the hub in the middle? Or try a different adapter or hub?

Re: V5.1.2 Crashes with Dremel 3D20

The fact that it works fine at time, but then the printer doesn't respond in other cases is very odd. It makes you think something might be changing with the connection. Are you by chance using any kind of a USB hub? Might also be worth checking hibernation/sleep settings or energy saving preference...

Re: 3dlab FW 190

Have you already read their FAQ about setting up S3D for their files?
https://3dlabprint.com/faq/setting-simp ... nt-planes/

They list 2 settings at the top that you need to set in V5.

Re: V5.1.2 Crashes with Dremel 3D20

From the communication log, it looks like the printer just completely stops responding. You can see S3D sending commands, but it doesn't get any response back. What firmware version are you running on the 3D20?

Re: Cooling tab

Typically, if you want to set the fan speed manually in the starting script or control exactly where that command is placed, then you would use the [fan_speed_pwm] placeholder variable. That stops the software from adding its own commands afterwards.

Re: V5.1.2 Live Preview Traking doesn't work

The preview follows the progress that the printer reports. So perhaps the printer said it was 10% done with the print, even though that was a bit optimistic based on what it was actually printing. In my experience it is usually very close, but it's not uncommon to be a layer or so off if the printer...

Re: Cooling tab

It seemed to be working from my tests. Can you post more specific details? It might help to include a factory file and show the exact lines in the gcode file you think are wrong, and what you expected them to be.

Re: gcode for init clean nozzle

The easiest idea is to enable the option in S3D to print a skirt around the part. That will prime the nozzle automatically and usually removes any extra filament that is stuck on the nozzle. You could also write some manual G1 E commands in the starting script if you want more fine-grained control. ...

Re: V5.1.2 Live Preview Traking doesn't work

I use that feature all the time with many printers in our office, and I can't say I've encountered this problem with v5.1.2. Just to check, does the progress bar for the print in the Machine Control Panel advance while the print is going? For example, if you do a small print do you see the progress ...
