Re: Improve GCODE Resolution

Please also consider adding more decimal places for the extruder extrusion. This will result in more accurate extruding by reducing rounding.

Re: Improve GCODE Resolution

Here are the two Gcodes. I matched the settings in cura as well as I could with S3D. You can easily see the difference in resolution between the both. The file size also speaks for itself. We can both agree S3D has better/optimized printing movements over cura, but a lower resolution in those moveme...

Not to hijack your post, but this is related:

Adding acceleration and jerk to the S3D interface, if implemented correctly, would improve estimated print time.

[ADDED] Improve GCODE Resolution

If S3D increased their resolution: parts would print faster, be more accurate, look a lot nicer, and would be easier on your printer, mechanically. " Please improve the resolution at which the GCODE is exported. Due to the rough nature of S3D GCODE, parts print slower and rougher as opposed to ...

Re: Is there a variable for actual print time

If you use an SD card and have an LCD, marlin supports something similar. It'll tell you elapsed time from when you started it, and when the print stopped, so you can easily subtract the print time from elapsed to figure out at what time of the hour it finished. If you are not using marlin, then goo...

Re: slicer Z precision?

S3D employees rarely reply to posts, so I doubt you'll ever get a real answer. My guess is that it would skip every other layer like you originally thought. Your best bet is to test it. Good luck!

Re: CR10S print time different than actual

Many causes for this. Simplify3d doesn't know any of the limits your Firmware has set such as acceleration, max feedrates, jerk, and so on. It does its best to give you a very rough time.

Re: continue print from power outage?

Thats more of a FW/hardware thing, not a slicer thing. Look up to see if your printer supports power outage resume.

Re: Variable acceleration and Jerk

It most definitely should be in the GUI! As for the values; The values are set by whomever configured/developed your firmware. Send M503 to your printer via USB and it should return a bunch of information on your printer's firmware settings. In that data returned, you'll see the acceleration and jer...
