Re: Strange missing partial layer when sliced

The merge all boundaries option basically fills in all the holes in the layer. It's useful if the mesh had incorrect normals or lots of invalid internal geometry. It can also be useful for vase mode if you know you only want to print the outer outline of the part and want to ignore internal holes.

Re: Change color for retraction

You can switch the preview coloring mode to "movement speed" or "flow rate" coloring. Those will probably use very different colors for the retractions and may be easier to view.

Re: GCode Script Macro's

I know it was mentioned in the release notes for V5.1.2. But otherwise we will keep trying to help out here and via email to answer any questions we can!

Re: Change number format to decimal place instead of comma

I always thought it was based on the system language settings. If you change the language/region back to English, does it switch back to a decimal place?

Re: Do your Factory files pull in saved Profiles?

The factory file stores your exact settings at that point in time - models, supports, processes, etc. So if you open a factory file, it will always have the exact same process settings as when it was exported. This has always been the same in all other prior S3D versions that I know of. If you chang...

Re: GCode Script Macro's

I believe the latest V5.1.2 release added process name as an available macro. Try using the following:
[current_process_name]

Re: When will be availabe Manual for S3d?

Is there any particular setting you need help with? Most of them just have a single setting with the same name that was added to the process settings. The new settings search in V5 can also be very helpful for locating the correct item. Anyways, let us know what you need help with and I'm sure there...

Re: my processes disapeared since last time

It's actually very common that the processes get changed and removed. The idea is that processes are expected to change for every single print. For example, the Variable Settings Wizard, Configuration Assistant, Multi Extrusion Wizard, and many more tools will completely change and overwrite the pro...

Re: Increase update frequency

Yes, I know the team has been investigating several popular feature requests that involved the Bambu machines and a few others. If you haven't already, be sure to vote on the Feature Request sub-forum if there's a particular integration you really want. They use that information quite a bit to prior...

Re: Next release?

I'd like to try to keep things constructive, so I provided the information I have to the original question. I know many customers will always want more and faster releases, but I do believe the progress the team has made with the speed of the numerous releases after 5.0 was very positive. We are now...
