Re: Infill Type Question.

Employ three to four shells as well; the walls are less prone to warp the stiffer they are. The infill ext width and percent can also be changed. Reduce the infill ext width to about 75%, then change the infill percentage to reach the desired amount . The infill walls should be more flexible and th...

Re: Infill Type Question.

I think the problem is usually previewing, not slicing. Go to Tools > Options and disable the "automatically load preview after slicing" option. I bet even at 70% the file will still export. However, if that exported file is 2+ GB I doubt it will be able to be fully previewed, even on a v...

Re: Infill Type Question.

I think there's already another thread discussing the gyroid issue here: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=17033 Short answers is that gyroid is typically used with low infill percentages. If you use too high of a infill percentages for gyroid with extremely large parts, it creates files...

Re: Gyroid Infill Crashes V5

You know what is bad ... is that Cura can slice the same file at 65% Gyroid infill.

Re: Gyroid Infill Crashes V5

Yes, have tried PEI beds, Buildtak, and glass. I find glass with old fashioned glue works the best. Tried Magigoo also. I also have the printer in a room where I can control the environment so no drafts and constant temp. The material is TPU 98A which compounds the issue since the sides can flex mo...

Re: Infill Type Question.

If I scale the part to 75% and use 50% Gyroid infill this is what I get. No image even though it seems to slice. Anything higher on infill and it just shuts S3D down. 2.jpg Have you tried changing S3D's Graphics Acceleration Mode options? S3D v5 Options.PNG D. Just tried all three modes and it made...

Re: Gyroid Infill Crashes V5

Sinusoidal also crashes it when set above 15%. There are no odd settings or anything complex. simple straight forward print. The crash takes place while it is "parsing build file". The green progress bar gets to the end and it acts like it is about to display the resulting slice and the p...

Re: Gyroid Infill Crashes V5

Ok, actually good to know.
I am running a very high end system so I wonder if this is GPU or an issue with S3D?
