As far as I can see, you have an extrusion % in first layer over 100. I mentioned this, yes. I have the First Layer Width set to a much higher value to get adhesion. I find it quite useless (IMHO). I cannot get a first layer to stick without increasing the width. Its most definitely not useless. I ...
I am having difficulty printing the bottom layer of some objects. Firstly the infill doesn't actually "fill" the entire area, and secondly it often creates very tiny stand-alone pieces that don't stick to the bed very well. Here is an example of both of these in action: https://thumb.ibb.c...
This may be your biggest issue. Guessing what to change and seeing if things change is not a very quick way of tuning your printer to produce good prints. I am not sure what you are suggesting as an alternative. You have an issue, or series of issues, that are not quite covered in any of the standa...
In that time you answered you already could have lerned much more by just trying out some stuff. 3D Printing knowledge is more self experiences and trail and error than getting "best theoretical advices". Every printer and every filament behaves different. So the best way is to play aroun...
Examining the preview closely shows that the spots where the holes show up coincide with the very center of an infill gap. I am going to try to increase the infill for the last 20% or so of the print and see if that solves my issue.
I can print the stuff that high but it also seemed to do fine at 200-210. What speed do you print at with 200c on MakerGeek PLA? When I doubled my speed to 80mm/sec and kept the temp at 215c I had a clog towards the end of the print. I am not certain that the temperature vs speed was the culprit, b...
I have some Maker Geek PLA and it has its temperature listed on the side of the spool as 235c. That seems excessive for PLA. When its that hot I get a lot of stringing, the color gets lighter/washed, and it does not extrude smoothly. I have sent emails to Maker Geek asking them if 235c is really the...
I am getting some gaps in the top of a couple particular prints (always at the exact same spots) and I am wondering what the best way to solve this would be. https://thumb.ibb.co/gErgqk/Print_Issues.jpg Under extrusion is the first thing that comes to mind (or maybe recovering from a retraction?) bu...
I cannot get the correct settings for a good first layer. Nothing I do makes it stick to the print surface.
However the base raft layer sticks perfectly. What are the settings that this base raft layer uses? How can I mimic these exact settings for my first real layer?
