Re: extruder recommendation?

Nobody has an extruder they like?
Has anybody tried E3d Volcano or the i3D Inno?

Re: Infill / Outline Overlap for Solid Infill

It is changing the infill extrusion length--how much the infill line overlaps onto the outlines.

Re: API for add-ins

Most things can be done with a post processing script. All of the settings are at the top of the file, so unless you actually need to modify the STL (which can be done before importing), many things can be accomplished with a simple text editor (automated, of course).

But I still +1 just because.

extruder recommendation?

I would like to add an extruder to my CNC mill. I want one that can take advantage of the speed I have available. My current printer can only go 30mm/sec, in large part because the extruder cannot keep up with thicker layers. I want something that can really MOVE the plastic--perhaps enough to do 25...

Infill & perimeter "announcement" or detection?

Is there a variable I can use that tells when an infill or perimeter is started? My printer cannot change layer height without a specific M-code command, and to take advantage of the "Combine infill every N layers" feature, I need to tell it to bump it up, then pull it back when it switches to the p...

Re: Feature to disable models

The feature-request should be to change the current checkboxes into "eyes" like in photoshop layers (show or hide), and add a new checkbox to suppress the models.

MORE "Recent Factory Files..." in list

How about a bump in the quantity of "Recent Factory Files..." listed? Or a setting? Eight was good back in the 90's on my 1024x768 monitor...kinda puny on my 32" lcd.

Thanks.

Re: Overhangs not being supported

Sorry to burst your bubble, but $150 for design & engineering software is definitely FAR from "professional software". More like "not quite penniless hobbyist grade". That does not excuse the lack of a resolution to this bug, though. Even many open source solutions would resolve issues like this. Al...

Re: 3D Design Software

You did not say what you hope to print. If you want to make organic models, the software is not the same as mechanical models. I design mechanical parts. About 15 years ago, my local SolidWorks sales rep was so offensive that it caused me to google alternatives; that's how I ended up using Alibre, n...

I don't know what it is called in SW, but in my CAD it is called a revolve cut.
