Re: This alone may be worth the price of entry...

Yes been around for years, but don't feel bad I didn't notice it for a couple of years of owning the software lol. It's a closely guarded secret.

Re: Z Hop

usual you are retracting and then moving with a Z Hop. When would you Z hop without a retract? personally I like where it is now, as the 2 really go hand in hand. For some materials it is best to disable retractions entirely, but would still like to hop during fast travel. Also even when you want r...

Re: No longer able to drag models using (any) key on MacOS!!

I can't figure out how to drag and move models on Windows OS either. Use to be hold the ctrl key down and drag the mouse. Doesn't work anymore, can't find a keyboard shortcut to even modify. Super annoying!

Increase fan speed for excessively quick layers

When this is set, it will operate the fan on the first layer (if it's an excessively quick layer), even if the fan speed on the first layer is set to zero in the fan speed setpoints. There should be an option when this feature is enabled to keep the fan off on the first layer regardless, if desired.

Re: odd slicing behavior

You can also get odd results depending on extrusion width, number of perimeters, and single line extrusion setting vs the model and it's smaller features. Sometimes changing one or more of these settings, and/or disabling (or enabling) single line extrusions can result in a dramatically improved (or...

Re: Adaptive layer height add on

Cura have a good settings here - there you define thickness of the top/bottom layers and not number of layers, makes a lot of sense as when you change the layer height it automatically changes the number of top/bottom layers to get to the required thickness (you can force the number of layers inste...

Re: Retractions

Yes sorry for the double post, I didn't look at the gcode carefully enough. I figured it might be ok because that would be a hard mistake to miss in testing!

Adaptive layer height add on

The adaptive layer height is a nice feature but it can impact top and bottom printed layer thicknesses dramatically. If the standard layer height is .2mm and the requested number of top and bottom solid layers is 4, that would result in a printed thickness of .8mm at the top or bottom of a print (wi...
