Re: Tip of the Day 30 - Using 3DTouch, CubeX,CubePro and Rap

I would really be surprised if they released a firmware update that completely changed how the printer actually printed their cubepro files, since that means everyone's prior files wouldn't work anymore! So try printing a file you already printed from simplify3d on that machine before. If it prints ...

Re: All the sudden estimated print time WAY off

Well the good news is that if things were working successfully before, you just have to focus on what might have changed. So try printing a previous gcode file from simplify3d that you know was fairly close and see if it's really far off now. If it is, then you have to start looking at things on the...

Re: Output file name format options needed

You may already know this, but I frequently have to look back and see what settings I used for a prior print, and in my case, I need to know more than just a few settings. I typically need to check things like the machine, filament, temperatures, speeds, nozzle size, layer height, first layer settin...

Re: Need help with Klic-N-Print 3D printer

Also, please just attach the .fff file instead of copy/pasting the contents of the entire thing. That makes it much easier to read through the thread ;)

Re: MonoPrice Mini Select Not Initiatlizing

I would try to find a gcode file from simplify3d that you know you already printed successfully before. Then try printing this same file a second time. If it doesn't work this time, then something must have changed on the printer or the firmware (since you know the file didn't change!)

Re: 123 draw to simplify 3d

Wouldn't you just export the STL file from 123, then import it into S3D?

Re: Raft Interface Angle Selection

Hmm.. when I print a raft in S3D, the direction of the solid fill on the first part layer opposes the raft top layer direction. I tried changing a bunch of different raft and solid infill settings, and I can only get the raft to go the opposite direction of the infill. You said it goes parallel, rig...

Re: Projected S3D print time v actual on Flashforge Creator

The SD card time estimates can sometimes be inaccurate at the beginning, but usually after 25-50% of the build, they start to get pretty close. As for simplify3d, I know there lots of other threads on the forum about this, but it's always going to just be an estimate since there are lots of things l...

Re: Macro for readying extruder

Personally, I think the easiest thing to do is just enable the skirt on the Additions tab. That will extrude a ring of plastic around the model which is an easy way to make sure everything is primed before you start the part. If you need more priming, just add more skirt outlines. If you really want...
