Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

sorry but my hope is gone. Prusaslicer is the way to go now! I think they may have done it. The alpha version of the next release of PrusaSlicer has ironing, but more importantly it has "paint on" support placement (or support denial) locations. So if you want to only support one area, yo...

Re: Non-planar layers

If S3D is looking for something to "set it apart" from the rest, this would be an excellent feature to implement. No other slicers are currently implementing this, an I am interested as well.

Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

I contacted them last week about this. They said that they are not ready to announce a new release, nor to announce what will be in it. I told them that the natives are restless. They do not appear to be impressed... Being that reticent, they must have broken something or lost a key developer who l...

Re: Feature Request: Calibration Parts and Wizards

The ones listed in the screenshot would be a great start, as would a built-in linear advance or pressure advance calibration. Marlin has a gcode generator on their website for linear advance calibration, but having one built into the slicer would be much nicer.

Feature Request: Calibration Parts and Wizards

One of my favorite features of SuperSlicer is the addition of a calibration guide that sequentially walks the user through printing various calibration objects for testing everything from temperature, flow rate, bridge flow, retraction, and more. 2020-10-15_13-42-01.png This has been extremely usefu...

Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

When someone shows you who they are, believe them. S3D has never shown any sign of being meaningfully transparent about anything going on regarding timeline, features, cost, etc, nor have they been able to meet any of the self-imposed guidelines that they've set for releases, so why should now be an...

This is an old post, but +1 to this.

This would be a highly useful feature.

Re: Only infill being sliced?

Even though my copy of S3D was activated and licensed it looks like until I unblocked it from the firewall it was causing this problem. The only reason I discovered it is because I attempted to run the machine setup wizard again and discovered it was blocked. This is poor license management on S3D's...

Only infill being sliced?

I admit I've gotten rusty on S3D since I switched away but I thought I'd give things another shot. Today I ran into an unusual problem. When attempting to slice an object only the support material was sliced. Here is the object on the plate: 2020-10-14_14-30-06.png However when I slice it, this is w...

Re: Shrink RATE , should be added to filament properties

parallyze, your photos are *super* helpful and have challenged a couple of assumptions I had been making regarding various ways to handle size correction. I've been using the SuperSlicer fork of PrusaSlicer for so long I incorrectly assumed the "Shrinkage" value under the expert material h...
