Re: multi part printing problem

Hi, Yes, I´ve read the tutorials! But, printing a file, that has two identical objects (I´m not talking abount the White and orange rings now) isn´t really multi-part printing... brgds sirlui, I print six pieces for a sliding-block puzzle. 2 of the pieces are identical. I import block1.stl, then I ...

Re: Two Questions before buying Simplify3D

Frank, You could try going to the Contact Us page at www.simplify3d.com and requesting a trial license. They have been known to issue a time-limited key for a few folks to try before buying. They don't publicize this, and it may or may not be their policy any more to issue trials, but you won't know...

Re: Copying a model after slicing- new slice doesn't update

CADMan, Don't do what I did when I ran into the same situation. I had a "print job" of 6 parts in one run. I imported part #1, applied a process to it, imported part #2, put in a second process for it, etc., etc. Ended up trying to print each layer six times. I walked away for about 10 min...

Re: Extruder leaves bed

frank2, Some of us using early versions of Creator played around with Starting G-Code (in the FFF window, with Advanced shown, on the Scripts tab) to add a wipe function similar to the one used by MakerGear in building the sample files for the hex twist, bracelet, etc. Perhaps S3D incorporated it in...

Ah, but it can be set by sending G-codes at any time -- just DON'T save to EEPROM with M500. I modify accel in my start G-code in my basic FFF.

Re: PROBLEM SETTING BUILD

peppe64, Could you post your starting and ending G-code scripts as well? I think the preview includes those when it parses the G-code. Might be something in there that is driving that one set of segments. Better yet, save a .FACTORY file and post that so others can see the entire "print job&quo...

Re: PROBLEM SETTING BUILD

jimc, I'd presume that peppe64's entry fields are following the localization setup of the O/S as far as the decimal separator is concerned. peppe64, have you gone to the machine settings in S3D Creator (not the overrides in the FFF G-Code tab, but from the settings menu in Creator itself) and verifi...

Re: 2.0.1 update osx - any version notes?

Thanks, Kenzu. If that "improved behavior for retraction between layers" is what I think it is, that was my pet peeve. Already downloaded -- let's see what it does with the arch on the torture test! Thanks to Clayton et al for the fixes! Now I (we?) can't wait to see the manual. ;-) Dale
