Small defect repeated on all parts in batch - V4.0

Ran a batch of 20 parts. They all show a small defect along the zipper - all at the same height, all about the same size. There's nothing going on inside the part at this point - it's a constant cross-section from the table up to the fillet at the top. This was sliced with V4. There's no sign of tro...

Re: Elephant foot

Under the GCODE tab you can add a Z offset which will impact the first layer. Positive will decrease the squishage on the first layer. Negative will decrease it. At least that's how it works on my printer.

Re: Fan stops print for a short time

From what I've seen, the code is executed in sequence, so when the FAN code is sent, that instruction must complete before the next MOVE instruction is executed. I suspect you have the "Blip Fan" option selected which would instruct the fan to go to full power briefly, and then switch to t...

Re: Spiral Vase Mode V4

Rather than modeling the thin wall you want to print, model the part solid. When you select Vase Mode, the interior of the model is ignored and only the outer surface is printed.

Re: Polycarbonate Spool

I have used eSun ePC white and natural with good success. i printed with a nozzle temp of 300C. Bed was PEI over Aluminum at 110C. GIzmodorks Black PC was a waste. Never got more than a few layers to lay down before the parts would peel. ePC Black also printed poorly with lousy layer adhesion. I hav...

Re: Size difference from software to print?

Update.:
I've added a few useful fields to the spreadsheet, and also added a Z-Axis calibration. I have attached an updated drawing, the latest spreadsheet, and the STL file for the Z-Axis scaling.

Re: Remove "Lasso" for Supports

Some sort of method for clearing support other than poking them one at a time would be welcome - being able to drag through an area, for example - or a selection rectangle.

Part Nesting

Would be real nice if Center and Arrange could nest parts when appropriate. Right now I'm printing a large cylinder and i can place several other smaller pieces inside the cylinder for printing. No big deal to drag them there manually, but it would be nice for S3D to see the void and make use of it....

Re: What happened here? (Photo)

My first guess would be a partially clogged nozzle.

Re: under extrusion???

Not much detailed info to go on here, but have you measured the diameter of the two filaments? Different brands of filament don't always run apples-to-apples. Might try increasing the extruder temp 5-degrees with the new filament to see if that helps.
