Re: Give me your Infill tips

Stop trying to run 200% infill. Running 135% or 150% is plenty strong at an acceptable infill percentage like 25%. You can slow down the infill as well via S3D.

All of your symptoms involve your machine not wanting to push that much material, not S3D.

Re: New Don Foley Model (for free)

If you are printing at .01mm and .02mm resolution, you might have the most accurate printer in the entire world.

I am guessing you meant .1mm and .2mm.

Still very cool!

Re: Feature Request: Eject Media

Maybe I'm a fuddy duddy but I just save the .gcode file to the hard drive in a nice organized folder structure and then copy the related x3g file to the SD card outside S3d. No issues ejecting after the copy and the gcode/x3g creation process is a hell of a lot faster than trying to do it on the SD ...

Re: [Feature Request] Honeycomb infill

Tell that to the guy that invented/patented the "Pet Rock". "He made a million dollars!"

May be the bees or the trees should claim the ownership of the honeycomb geometry.

Cheers.

Re: Infill not working

Sound like you have bad models (with holes in the mesh). Try running them through Netfabb before slicing and let us know what happens.

Re: Feature Request - Pause at Specified Layer

Are you using this method in the model view or the sliced view? If you are looking in the model view, I don't think that takes into account the compressed initial layer height.

I will check and see if that comment is correct.

Feature Request - Pause at Specified Layer

I am requesting that you add a box on the "Layer" tab (or in the other tab if that works better) that will let us select what layers we want our print to pause at. A command already exists that will communicate to Makerbot (maybe others) machines with Sailfish firmware installed. It is det...

Re: [Feature Request] Honeycomb infill

Not sure if this is correct but I have heard that the HoneyComb fill is patented.

Do the other slicers (besides MakerWare) have HoneyComb? If so, you can disregard what I heard.

Re: Long travel paths

Make sure you have it set for most efficient start points under the layer tab. If you have it set to Random, it will do what you describe. You also probably have the "Retraction " setting turned off for travel interior to the part. Not sure exact name but I think it is on the "other&q...
