Re: Not extruding on second layer

If you look at the G-Code you posted in Creator's built-in Previewer, you can see that there are clearly infill segments that should be printed in that area. The program appears to be calculating the correct toolpaths, which suggests this might be a mechanical issue. What printer are you using? Any ...

Re: Printer pausing during prints

The serial cache size represents the space on the Arduino for storing serial data before it is processed. In general, larger cache sizes mean faster and more robust transfers. The standard size used to be 127 bytes, but I believe Arduino 1.0 downgraded this to just 63 bytes to add extra programming ...

Re: Creator 1.1.4 Update

Great answer Dale, you beat me to it! ;) And about your last comment, you guys already supported us so we'll do whatever we can to add these requested features. We just have to be cognizant of the tradeoffs for other users. You hit the nail on the head Dale when you said it's a good system but there...

Re: CubeX

I'm attaching a .fff file that another customer was using with their CubeX. We don't have one in-house, so please use this with caution. You would also need to go to Tools > Firmware Configuration and select the included CubeX Firmware profile. After those changes, Creator should be producing the co...

Re: Error importing STL file incorrect binary format detecte

You can see a similar thread here ( http://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=116 ). This warning essentially means that the binary STL files does not adhere to the defined standards, which you can read more about on that thread. Our next update already has some more tolerant importing for...

Re: Units, mm or inches

The entire 3D printing world pretty much operates in millimeters. All of the profiles included with Creator use millimeter units. It sounds like you might be trying to use a millimeter profile with your preferences set to inches. Try going to Tools > Options and then the Preferences tab. Select mill...

The Ultimate Compatibility Thread

We get a lot of emails from new users asking what printers the Creator software is compatible with. While we could tell them all the technical answers about different firmware variants, we decided it would be must more interesting to put together an ongoing list of every printer the software is alre...

Re: Using Creator with Fablicator: Slow Arc Issue

Hey Justine, I'd be happy to help you out with this. The software has some really impressive compatibility and we love helping people get it setup with new hardware systems! I've seen the Fablicator come up several times recently, but I'm actually surprised you have a physical product. I can't for t...
