Re: Crashing When Updating FFF Profile

Mine did this too. I had to export all of my profiles (so I had a record of them) and then do a program reset. That resolved the issue for now. Although I can't say it won't come back.

Re: Ironing

Actually you can't patent ideas or otherwise legally protect the idea itself. You can only protect the method(s) or components used to implement an idea. So if S3D wanted to add sanding or leveling or ironing to top surfaces they can as long as their method of coding is original (assuming the prior ...

Please make Z hop not linked to retraction

I would like z hop separated from retraction and rather, tied to fast travel moves directly. As in some cases there are retractions that occur (depending on settings) that are not related to a travel move. Since hop is generally used to avoid collisions it makes more sense (to me) to tie it to trave...

Re: How To Avoid Extruder Travel over Internal Area Of Print

Never understood why vertical lift has to be or should be tied to retraction. Why not have the option to place the lift anywhere (immediately before) fast travel occurs? Retraction settings vary and many times retraction occur where there is no fast travel, and not necessarily requiring a z hop.

[ALREADY ADDED] Automatic plane sensing

Think of this as an advanced drop to table mode which would allow the software to cycle through any flat faces on a model with user input. Perhaps by clicking on a desired surface. The software would automatically rotate the model and drop the selected face to the table.

Re: Multiple printer support.

I hope in the future this happens more seamlessly. I've heard people say they use the edit process button and load one for the printer you want to use, as an alternative to the configuration wizard. But for me that often messes up the graphic display of the printer on screen. It works but it creates...

Re: Avoid crossing outline not working in 4.1.1

I'm printing a single model. Sorry for my terse post it was late and I had just lost a 7 hr print. I will post the factory file tonight. The nozzle slams right into a column on the single model and breaks it off. Why does layer change fast travel happen before incrementing the z axis to the next lay...

Avoid crossing outline not working in 4.1.1

It's just being ignored. I have it set to a high number. Doesn't matter, slams the nozzle into a tall column anyway and breaks it. Infuriating of course. I can post a factory file, but why bother? We all know it's broken.
