Re: Models import out of scale

... Last week I had to learn the same: a STL-Files has no dimensions. The slicer will search the most possible value in Inch or in MM. If it is very small in mm - or great in inches - the slicer scalled it with 2,540 to inches or to mm. Just dobble-click to the object and have a look to the scale an...

Re: Influencing the direction of bridges

that's right! Optimation doesn't solve the problem, but it helps as well as possible. The print-direction of bridging and also of support-printing seams to be always the x- direction (on my printer) therefore the long-way of the bridge is lying in y-direction. In many cases, it is recommended to tur...

Re: Influencing the direction of bridges

Other slicers, other issues! Slic3r-user applaude S3D-support and demonize S3D bridging. It's your choise. Optimise your bridging (speed, extraction, overlap), there is only one layer (no. 156) a bridge and it is like support for the next (solid) Layer. Keyboardwarrriors https://forum.simplify3d.com...

Re: How to print this?

Hi Matthias, I'am sorry about the factory-file, I havn't seen it a little bit cached in the background of the pic. Are you sure with the multiplier 1.0? I need for ABS max 0.92 - 0.94 by messuring the filament very exactly (2.83 when named 2.85 mm) It varies always +/- 0.05 mm. In the OTHER-tab you ...

Re: How to print this?

...you mean : esurements >>> mesurements ?

That's a well known problem! Generally!

Please create a factory-file (File > Save as ...) and attache it here.

Re: How to print this?

Hi Kumpel, it is very easy! You need support (check on the box, open the Support-Tab) S3d offers 2 possibilitys : automatical and manual Support For the automatical version, there is nearly nothing to do, the 1 mm column is given. The printers, the kind of material and even the material spool to spo...

Re: How to print this?

Small pieces like this are always very difficult to print. Upright like shown, but minimum 4 times the same, every piece with a position on a cicle of 10 cm diameter. That is needed to win time for cooling and stabilizing the print. Standard-support 1 mm column, slow speed ( ~ 40 mm/s max), distance...

Re: Slow down first layer after raft and support

An other idea: is it possible, that S3D interpret the crossing over the Hips as bridging? Then you may justified in the Other-Tab the full speed but only 50% extruding.

Re: Slow down first layer after raft and support

Ah, ok! But I can't see the problem because I think that the melted material leaves the nozzle as quick as the printhead is going forward. And that very exactly. I premise that the quantity of extruding of ABS is ok, optimally there is a very small bow wave in moving direktion .
