Re: When will there be an update??

Slic3r gives you enough time to brew a pot of coffee while it slices, whereas S3d only gives you time to take a sip from a cup of coffee. I agree S3D is faster but sometimes you need to make sacrifices. Just like how people give up printing speed when going with a fdm printer verses a polyjet print...

Re: When will there be an update??

Very curious what features slic3r currently has the Simplify3D doesn't. Care to elaborate? Try printing support interface with a second extruder on S3D, you can't. A feature that is so far overdue, it's in a way, pathetic. The other features only deal with me but Slic3r is a plug and play process w...

Re: When will there be an update??

Thanks for your response! I completely agree with you as well about how 'somebody' on the team or sometimes an external group is the representation of the customer. Where I'm at now, we used to have this. It wasn't one person but a group of 3 that was our internal customer that at points, called sho...

Re: When will there be an update??

I think its unreasonable for the developers to email every person who purchased the software and ask for ideas. Do you have any idea how man emails that would be. The forum is the perfect place for this especially with the name Feature Requests. Did you post any requests of what you would like to s...

Re: When will there be an update??

Thanks for the reply but that update to 3.1.0 bought very few added features. It was back end stuff, for lack of a better word. A company that offers a paid software should not rely of a forum as a use of communication. Yes you can post stuff there but not everyone that bought the software is going ...

When will there be an update??

Is anyone else getting annoyed with the lack of an update that brings NEW features? I understand that they may have a small team of developers but to me it's unacceptable with how long it's been since a NEW feature update was release. I really feel like I wasted my money on this software because fre...

Variable infill speed

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but one feature I'd like to see is a speed setting specifically for the infill based on the extrusion amount/length. What I mean is based of the distance between a direction change during infill, the speed adjust based on a users min and max infill sp...
