Re: More accurate build time?

all depends on your printer. s3d has to work with 100's of printers so the time can only be general guess. what they need is a % entry that you can enter to atleast get it closer but it really boils down to how many travel moves are in the print. time could be really close if there a only a few move...

Re: Z hop in the new version ?

Almost all my parts are just like that with either 4 or 6 pillars a couple inches tall. Ive printed a couple thousand of these piece over the past 2 years and never knocked over a pillar when it switches processes. Is it possible you have your z movement speed set really low?

Re: Z hop in the new version ?

not between every layer. before every travel move so it should generally drop between process settings. not sure why your nozzle is hitting the parts. every print i do is usually a multi process and i have never had the nozzle crash into a part.

Re: Show your printings done with Simplify3d

Re: Problems with conical surface

Thats a pretty typical surface quality for anything needing support. If your expexting it to come out like a top surface then thats not gonna happen. The best thing to do here is model your parts with 3d printing in mind. The cone should be a seperate piece then assemble the two parts after printing...

Re: Not filling to outer perimeter around holes

Your seeing that because thatbis the first or second layer and extrusion width in those has a direct relation to the bed to nozzle gap. It gets worse around the edges because your platform is either not flat or not level. Print that and look at it at layer 20. I bet it will be much better. You do ne...

Re: Overhang View

I would think that if you have an oveehang you would be using support. You can turn support on and set the angle to what you want. The support generated would be your identifier. If you dont want support then just go back and turn it off after you get all your info for yoit cooling
