Re: Improve GCODE Resolution

I see this thread is almost 2 years old, but it's also been almost 2.5 years since 4.1 was released... perhaps at least convert the Arc Welder features from the OctoPrint plugin?

Re: G2/G3 Arc Paths options

I know this is an old thread, but I have recently started using OctoPrint, and the Arc Welder plugin does this.

Maybe someone with more time than I will be able to adapt it to a Simplify 3d plugin. It has been adapted to Cura already.

Have fun!

Re: Lotmaxx printer?

"Material Used %" at Layer in GCode preview

I am printing a part that is tall, but most of the plastic is in the bottom 3mm. If the GCode Preview had a "progress bar" or something like that to show you the percentage of filament used (or grams used, or mm used, or anything helpful like that) at given layers, that would be very helpful in dete...

Thanks!

Re: "print around object" option

Say you want to embed a hinge pin into your part. You want to print as close as possible, without crashing into it. A "Print Around Object" feature will stop at a certain height to allow for insertion, and also calculate the clearances required to avoid hitting the pin with the nozzle.

Re: Ironing

I agree that the S3D developers should not rip off ideas from other slicer developers...but rather have initiative in their own right. Cura is open source... The very strictest definition of that is "do what you want". Maybe the code license if cura doesn't permit pasting the code into s3d source, ...

"print around object" option

It would be helpful to be able to print around an object so it is embedded inside. For instance, a hinge pin, a nut, etc.

Re: Can't see Mapped NAS Network drives

I don't know if it's been fixed or not, but it's an old bug:

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1768#p13011

I ended up connecting the printer directly to the s3d pc.

Re: Small voids on layer change / where walls meet infill

Nevermind, I didn't zoom in enough.

Too much coast if it's at the end of the perimiter, not enough prime if at start).
