Re: CubePro Compatibility

Hello all, we controls now our Cubepro with Arduino and Ramps1.4. It is somatch easier to use filements and find the right settings. I'm sure there are many users here who would love more details on your conversion. Can you provide any photos or instructions on how you did it and what you had to buy?

Re: Any new placeholders in 3.0? and other related questions

Ok, so to try to summarize what you said, you want arithmetic options in just the tool change and layer change scripts? Lol.. Summarizing my ramblings in not an enviable task... I'll try to be concise here: I'd love : 1. All placeholders to be available in all script tabs. 2. Arithmetic operations ...

Re: Perimeter layer gaps, not connected

One thing I find especially interesting about the 3D printing community, and more specifically the resolution of problems within 3d printing forums is that for every question there are at least 2 conflicting answers. Some people say always do it this way, while others say never do it this way, do i...

Re: Any new placeholders in 3.0? and other related questions

I think there's some new items added, but many of them are for use in specific scripts. What script were you needing to use the arithmetic stuff in? And for the layer-specific stuff, I do search and replaces all the time to add commands to a specific layer since you know there will always be a &quo...

Re: Tip of the Day 22 - BFB 3D Touch, CubeX, RapMan & CubePr

Hi Ya'll. I'm looking at getting Simplify3D, but before I do I want to know what profiles are currently available for the CubePro. Is it similar to the CubePro software in that there are profiles already for ABS/PLA and 0.02 - 0.3 . I have played with KisSlicer before (and I am aware that this prog...

Re: Perimeter layer gaps, not connected

Most of these guys have been printing much longer than i, but if it were me, i would ease back on the extrusion width. If you have a .4mm nozzle and a .2mm layer height, keep your extrusion width at .4 and dial it in from there. I know it makes theoretical sense that since the extruder is orthogonal...

Any new placeholders in 3.0? and other related questions..

Are there any new placeholders in version 3.0? Can we do arithmetic with placeholders in 3.0? Are current placeholders available across all scripts? (eg. temperature controllers in tool-change script) Is there any way to do layer-specific post processing? (we can do tool-specific post processing) I ...

Re: Tip of the Day 22 - BFB 3D Touch, CubeX, RapMan & CubePr

NEXT--the firmware of the cubepro checks to see if the amount of material that the printed file is going to use is still left in the cartridge. This number is also in the start script. It should be a very small, non-zero number. (.001 works). The cartridge loaded can be empty! This may not work for...
