Re: Retracts too long with 3.0.2?

What solved this problem for me was changing the "Tool change retraction distance" to 0.00 on the Advanced tab. I first tried selecting the "Relative extrusion distances" option, but that didn't help. I could be wrong, but It appears to me the value in "Tool change retractio...

Re: Pause at height?

@mroek - Take a look at the first couple of posts in the following thread and see if the Search/Replace syntax there helps.

Re: Setting in Wrong

For sticking to the bed... I think CompoundCarl was probably trying to refer you to the Z-offset value rather than speed. Look again at the link he provided, the second item titled "Nozzle starts too far away from the bed". Your print also looks to me like you might be over-extruding, and/...

Re: post processing script

Do any of those printers use the "postProcessing" comment that S3D inserts? Why would that ever need to be changed by a REPLACE command?

Re: post processing script

Interesting. Can you give an example? I didn't know any of the firmwares acted on comment lines in gcode. I may have capabilities I don't know about!

Re: post processing script

FYI - several of the profiles that I use from S3D use the {REPLACE} commands to manipulate the header with info that is needed by those machines. So it definitely needs to work on the header as well ;) My thought was only to exclude the comment lines inserted by S3D from REPLACE. Would that restric...

Re: post processing script

Thanks, CC. Yes, using using {strip] to remove the comment was the first thing my simple brain thought to try. But doing that removes useful documentation from the file. I like that S3D adds that comment; it is good documentation of how the file was prepared, and I want it there for future reference...

Re: post processing script

+1. I've run into this problem as well when trying to setup a Pause for filament change in S3D. S3D adds the entire text of any REPLACE command (including the "Search for" text) into a comment near the top of the gcode, prefixed with "postProcessing". Good for documentation, but ...

Re: Alloy 910 print gets worse as it prints

I printed an extruder herringbone gear from 910 earlier this evening, and it turned out great. Gear.jpg My settings: Extrusion temp: 235C Bed temp: 90C (This is PEI, with Uhu glue stick applied) Fan: Off for layer 1; On at 35% for layer 2+ I'm thinking the fan could be the difference, since your fan...
